Celebrating the Success of CPAL’s 2026 Inaugural Benefit - Raise the Roof!

An evening honoring the visual arts community, featuring a silent auction, and celebrating the launch of the Center for the Preservation of Artists’ Legacies’ new home at 50 West Street, New York, NY, on February 25, 2026.

This year, CPAL welcomed over 100 artists, thinkers, donors, patrons, and benefactors into our new space, honoring the work of artistic legacy stewardship, and celebrating an exciting new chapter in CPAL’s development.

For this year’s benefit, CPAL had the privilege of honoring Francis J. Greenberger and Phong H. Bui with handcrafted glass awards created by Beth Lipman, presented by Alice Aycock and Sean Scully. CPAL was proud to present our first Vision Award to John Kalafatis of Mosaic Artspace, with an award created by Valerie Hird.

The Inaugural benefit event silent auction was a memorable part of the evening, offering a glimpse of how one of our spaces will be used in the future for exhibition programming.
